I Am not a Dieting Idiot - Anymore!
I've tried them all. Programs that meet every week for lectures and support, Gyms that provide all the machinery you can imagine for building muscle and losing weight, and, of course, the grapefruit diet, the starvation diet, the shake diet, and countless others.
Did any of these diets work? Honestly, a few of them did - for a while. As long as I stayed on the program and followed the "rules" to a tee, I would either lose weight or maintain my current weight at a minimum. But there would always come a time when I would get tired of denying myself the foods that I liked. I'd get fed up with having to do exercises that I hate.
So down the tubes it would all go. Usually gradually, but sometimes it was like hitting a brick wall and I'd just give up. What was wrong with me? What kind of an idiot was I? Why couldn't I get through it to my final goal?
I was eating foods that I hated
I was using methods of exercise that I hated
I was completely denying myself foods that I liked
I never bothered to investigate how to make the foods that I liked in a more healthy manner
I NEVER changed my lifestyle so that it would be a permanent part of a thinner life
I found a diet plan incorporates all these things into their diet plan. When you use the diet generator to create a menu plan, you first enter the foods that you like, rather than have to go through long lists and choose from 50 versions of broccoli. That's a good start - at least then you know you're going to have some foods that you like.
This diet encourages you to find a method of exercise that you enjoy - not something that you only do in desperation because you think it's the only way. Remember, if your not exercising at all, then ANY exercise that you do now is a huge improvement.
The program helps you find substitutes for ingredients that you would commonly be using instead. (like using applesauce instead of vegetable oil). You learn to makes these changes for you and your entire family. You all need to "change a lifestyle".
The plan aids you in changing your thinking about diet now and in the future. No fads, no gimmicks. Learn about proper portion control, food journaling, menu planning and yes, exercise. Learn how to change your lifestyle from a fat one to a thin one. Become your own personal success story.
